Started in 1996, with 160 students with 3
departments , they are Textile ,Mechanical , EEE and additionally 3 courses
started ,they are Civil, Computer & E&C. Our textile department started with
48 students now intake is decreased from 48 to 36 students due to some other
additional courses may receiving from DOTE .Now our college strength is 1400
students.
Latha mathavan Polytechnic college has completed its 10th anniversary
celebration during 5th march 2006.within this 10 years, LMPC has emerged as
one of the model technical institutes of its performance and Achievements
realizing the standard of education in institution only can help the
individual as well as our nation.This ISO 9001: 2000 certified institution
under dynamic leadership of Dr.K.MATHAVAN, MBBS,PGDOH,dedicates his service
with the support of team of faculty members for the success of individual
students and Quality Education.
Till date 8 batch of students have gone out with most of them having honours
and first class and we achieve 100 % Diploma results in Board examinations
and most of them placed in various categories of jobs in spinning, weaving,
processing and garment mills. Remaining students entered in enginering
college. Since discipline plays a vital role in building a student,we are
maintaining a proper discipline by regulating the students.
Nearly 85% lab facilities are available and the students are given Extensive
Knowledge through so many Industrial Visits and Inplant Trainings with all
its spherical growth, with the blessing of “ALMIGHTY”. We the faculty
members of textile technology department wish to give a state level record.
